An MBBS of the 1990 batch from Government Medical College, he also holds a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in General Medicine from Medical College, Manipal. He is a senior office-bearer of several medical bodies including the Kerala Association of Neurologists, Indian Academy of Neurology and American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Riyas m has also served as an advisory on the board of many national and international pharmaceutical companies.
